This 2 day Paediatric First Aid course is OFSTED compliant and fully meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework). It is written specifically for those working in childcare settings, making it ideal for nannies, au pairs, foster carers, primary schools, nursery staff, parents and carers.
Delivered by an experienced paramedic who has dealt with highly stressful paediatric emergencies, this course brings real‑world insight and practical confidence. Although taught by a paramedic, the training is clear, friendly and completely free from medical jargon. Every topic is explained in a way that is easy to understand, and the teaching is grounded in genuine experience handling the emergencies covered in the course.
The course includes a wide range of essential first aid skills, such as emergency actions, CPR for children, babies and adults, choking procedures, AED use, head injuries, asthma, shock, bleeding, burns, fractures, seizures, diabetes, meningitis, croup, sickle cell and much more.
This is a fun, interactive workshop with plenty of hands‑on practice, demonstrations and time for questions. There are no formal tests, ensuring learning is practical, engaging and confidence‑building.
