1. Who We Are

Nicholas Lovatt T/a Windsor Event Medical Service delivers high‑quality first aid and medical training.

Awarding Body: Nicholas Lovatt T/a Windsor Event Medical Service is an approved SkillBase First Aid Instructor. All first aid qualifications delivered by Nicholas Lovatt T/a Windsor Event Medical Service are awarded and certified by Be Empowered Ltd t/a SkillBase First Aid (Company No. 11573464) Full infomation of our awarding body can be found here: https://www.skillbasefirstaid.com/

2. Booking Your Training

Once your booking is confirmed, your space on the course is secured. Please double‑check your details when booking so everything runs smoothly.

3. Changing or Cancelling a Booking

We understand plans can change, and we’ll always try to help where we can.

  • If you need to cancel or move your booking within 15 working days of the course date, the full course fee will still apply unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing.

  • All cancellations must be sent to us in writing (email is perfect).

  • Course fees can’t be reduced or adjusted if:

    • Fewer delegates attend than expected

    • Someone doesn’t turn up

    • A delegate leaves early or doesn’t complete the full course without prior expressed agreement in writing

If you’re unsure about anything, just get in touch — we’re always happy to talk things through.

4. Passing the Course

Our trainers will give delegates the best possible support, guidance, and learning experience. However, we can’t guarantee that every delegate will pass, as assessments are based on participation and demonstrated skills.

5. Safety & Liability

Your safety is important to us. All delegates take part in training at their own risk, and we ask everyone to follow trainer instructions throughout the session.

If something outside our control affects your course (for example, severe weather, emergencies, or trainer illness), we’ll do everything we can to offer an alternative date or solution.

Windsor Event Medical Service isn’t responsible for financial loss, loss of profit, or any indirect issues that may arise from changes or disruptions to training.

6. Course Changes

Sometimes we may need to adjust course dates, times, venues, or content. If that happens, we’ll give you as much notice as possible and offer a suitable alternative.

We regularly update our course materials to keep them accurate and relevant. While we take great care with our content, we can’t accept responsibility for any errors or for how first aid skills are used after training.

7. Keeping Things Up to Date

We may update these terms from time to time. The most recent version will always apply to new bookings.

8. Agreement to Learner Agreement

We kindly ask that everyone agrees to these guidelines to keep things running smoothly and to make sure everyone has a positive experience. If that's not possible, they might not be able to participate fully in the course.

Learner Agreement – Friendly Reminders:

  • Participation is encouraged. Everyone’s input is welcome — get involved, ask questions, and enjoy the session.

  • Use appropriate language and behaviour. We want this to be a comfortable, positive space for everyone. Please try to be kind, thoughtful, and respectful in how we speak and interact. This helps us create an environment where everyone feels safe and included. While we don’t allow discrimination or unkind behaviour, the focus is simply on keeping things friendly and supportive for all.

  • Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early. This gives you time to settle in, get comfortable, and be ready for a prompt start. If you’re running late, please let me know with a quick phone call — or, if you know someone else on the course, let them know so they can pass the message on. We’ll do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but because the course starts promptly at the stated time, I can’t promise you’ll pass if you arrive significantly late.

  • Mobile phones on silent, please. If you need to take a call, just step outside the venue so the session isn’t disrupted.

  • If there is anything stopping you from fully participating, let me know early. Anything you share will be kept confidential, and we can work around it to make sure you get the best possible learning experience.

  • Breaks are essential and flexible. We’ll have planned break times, but if you need an extra break at any point, just let me know. It’s completely fine — your wellbeing comes first, and any request will be kept confidential.

  • No alcohol before or during the course. Please stay alcohol‑free throughout the session.

  • Smoking and e‑cigarettes are only permitted in designated areas outside the venue. No smoking or vaping inside the venue at any time.

  • If anyone gets injured, tell me straight away. We’ll provide the necessary first aid and complete any accident reporting procedures.

  • If any issues arise during the day, let me know. Anything you share will be handled confidentially and dealt with appropriately.

  • Most importantly — have fun! Enjoy the session, stay safe, and make the most of it.
